Serenella Sala

Serenella Sala graduated in Environmental Science, and obtained a PhD in Ecology in 2005 at University of Milano Bicocca. Since 2005, she is the coordinator of the Research Unit on Sustainable Development (GRISS) headed by Prof. Demetrio Pitea at University of Milano Bicocca. Her research activities are related to methods and tools for sustainable development and risk assessment, mainstreaming sustainability science into applied research through the development of Sustainability indicators. She was the coordinator of several environmental projects both in the private and public sector and she developed and implemented several interdisciplinary projects promoting public and private partnerships, related to sustainable production and consumption pattern, with a specific focus on tourism activities.
